Summary:

The fourth installment in the series is actually a stand-alone. There might be vauge references to the other stories in the series, but you would be able to understand this one just as easily without reading the first three.


Set in the Ben 10: Alien Force universe, this story begins with Ben, Gwen, and Kevin investigating a fierce battle in the middle of the night between a Highbreed and a pair of strangers. While the couple appears to be human, they seem to have little trouble defeating the alien, causing the teens to realize that they might not be what they seem. As if that wasn't complicated enough for them, Kevin has trouble remembering the night in question leaving the teenagers to wonder how far they can trust the couple.

Story Notes:

We all have our guilty pleasures.  Mine just happens to be cartoons, primarily "Ben 10: Alien Force."  While I never planned to write a fic based on any cartoon, the idea for this one just wouldn't leave me alone.  Given my obsession with my original characters, I couldn't resist writing this. So, I figured, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin have been dealing with aliens for so long, let's see how they handle a pair of vampires.

Some general notes...

This is set during the "Alien Force" timeframe.  As with my other stories, the use of italics will be somewhat common.  Within quotation marks, they indicate dialogue in a language other than English.  Without quotation marks, they are a character's unspoken thoughts.

A/N: Well, there isn't as much action in this chapter as I had planned, but there are definitely a few questions answered. Things will pick up again soon, though I promise.

Disclaimer: I still don't own Ben 10: Alien Force. I have to add that there is a character in this chapter that requires a disclaimer as well. "Benjamin Talbot" is from the series "Moonlight" which I also do not own. To the best of my knowledge, it's owned by WB and Silver Productions and I am receiving no profit from the use of either Talbot or "Moonlight".
